What is Feng Shui? Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of balance. It looks at your environment and evaluates several things: how the energy flows through your home, how you are aligned with the compass points, and objects or other things that may be impacting your life. From this information, Feng Shui "cures" can be made to correct for any issues found and to optimize your space for your ideal life.
How long is a Feng Shui Consultation? A consultation is typically 2-4 hours long. The length of time varies based on the size of the home and how many areas of concern we will be addressing.
Will it be expensive to "fix" my space? All the suggestions that are made consider how we can utilize what you already have. When you don't have what is needed already in your space, low cost options are recommended. If you choose to spend more, that is up to you.
Will I have to paint my walls/move all my furniture/change my decor? Often times what is need to make a space more comfortable, functional and in-line with your life goals is just a simple adjustment. However, on occasion, larger adjustments are need to create the desired result. We work with you to find the most optimal changes as they are appropriate for you. Also, keep in mind that our role is that of a consultant. We will provide you with all the information you will need but the decisions are ultimately up to you.
I don't live in San Diego, will you travel to me? I am willing to travel but will need to charge additional for my travel expenses. Please contact me directly to discuss options. Special arrangements can be made for certain areas which I frequently visit.
Can't I just read a book on Feng Shui and implement the changes on my own? Reading Feng Shui books are a great way to dabble in Feng Shui. However, a book can only take you so far. Because there are several schools of thought in Feng Shui, books give you limited information and it is very confusing when you are reading about different Feng Shui methods. I have gone through extensive training and studied the different methods.
